[cs_content][cs_element_section _id=”1″ ][cs_element_layout_row _id=”2″ ][cs_element_layout_column _id=”3″ ][cs_element_text _id=”4″ ][cs_content_seo]Kay Bowers, a member of Belmont United Methodist Church, Nashville, has been named to the Golden Cross Foundation board. She is the first member to be named to the board’s class of 2023.
Bowers has more than 25 years of executive experience with affordable housing organizations. She recently retired as the executive director of Nashville’s New Level Community Development Corporation, an affordable housing organization that builds, sells, and rents affordable homes and provides comprehensive housing services.
Prior to that, Bowers was executive director of Habitat for Humanity of Blount County where she founded Foothills Community Development Corporation (FCDC) in 2005. Designed to supplement the county’s Habitat for Humanity affordable home building program, FCDC has constructed dozens of new homes in addition to rehabbing many more for low- and moderate-income residents.
“My passion for and belief in ‘home’ as the foundation people must have to thrive and succeed in life has guided me throughout my career,” Bowers said.
“As a Golden Cross Foundation board member, I am excited to put my passion and experience to work alongside others to help ensure our seniors have quality homes and the resources they need to thrive.”
In addition to the Golden Cross Foundation, Bowers is a member of The Nashville Rotary club and also serves on the boards of Nashville’s Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency, Nashvillians Organized for Action and Hope, and the Tennessee Affordable Housing Coalition.\n\n[/cs_content_seo][/cs_element_layout_column][/cs_element_layout_row][/cs_element_section][/cs_content]
