When Tomorrow Seems Uncertain: Choose Hope
Sometimes facing uncertainty is as simple as refusing to do it alone. For Christians, faith can give us something else to hold on to — hope that is independent of our circumstances.
As more people are living longer, resources and concerns related to aging and older adults are becoming more prevalent. Congregations are reframing aging and ENCORE Ministry Foundation is committed to developing and providing resources for older adults’ spiritual development. See below for stories and ideas providing a vision of creativity, energy, and exciting possibilities.
In May 2025, Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Gallatin, Tennessee, launched a new Older Adult Ministry to support and empower older adults in the church and community. A New Older Adult Ministry Program Grant from ENCORE Ministry Foundation helped fund initial expenses.
Lunch and Learn at Rehoboth UMC is such a great opportunity for people in the community. No reservations are needed. Just show up at 11;30 on the third Monday.
